ILLSA Project utilizes E-Learning as a set of tools to encourage communication, research, and exchange of ideas in any of its four project languages: German, French, Italian and Spanish, all within an international environment.

That integrated language practice is achieved by taking topics of mutual interest as a starting point to forming a discussion and encouraging critical thinking, as is laid out in the pedagogical principle of Content and Language Integrated Learning (LANQUA).

In parallel to that, the project uses technology and online learning materials to offer varied forms of instruction and collaboration which include not only reading and writing but also oral forms of interaction. The latter is practiced to negotiate topics, plan projects and offer solutions to problems or case studies presented in the project.

The ILLSA Project is a collaboration of Hong Kong Baptist University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The University of Hong Kong.

The ILLSA project is funded by the University Grants Committee (UGC) Hong Kong.
